The winners of the 8th Slovenian Innovation Forum

Ministry of Economic Development and Technology of the Republic of Slovenia and the Public Agency SPIRIT organized the 8th Slovenian Innovation Forum, where Vista TM company with its service of low-cost passenger transport GoOpti in collaboration with Abelium received a special award for the most innovative business model. Abelium is involved in the development of smart services that support the operation of this intelligent transport system.

GoOpti is disruptive, a system for smart organization of passenger transport supported with modern ICT services, developed in Slovenia. It adapts to the demands and with the help of the concept of "yield management", their own mathematical optimization models and specialized ERP system and other innovative ideas, optimizes vehicles occupancy and achieves minimum price for the passenger at high revenue for the carrier. Unique part of the GoOpti business model is the introduction of the so-called "time window" - agreement with the passenger, who is willing to agree to the departure time in order to have a lower fare price. The key part of the innovation is a franchise business model, supported by the concept of "software as a service". Despite the fact that GoOpti provides services it is not a transport company. GoOpti system is based on the use of an effective intermediary system between end-users of transport services. A very important part of the innovation is the brand GoOpti and overall user experience. For the year 2013 they plan to have more than € 2.7 million turnover and 150.000 passengers, as well as expansion into foreign markets.
